Instituto de Recursos Naturales y Agrobiología, CSIC
Salamanca, Spain
Description
Our group is based in Salamanca (Spain) at the Institute for Natural Resources and Agrobiology that belongs to the Spanish Research Council (CSIC). The project deals with the molecular characterization of redox signaling networks in plant cells and, particularly, on the molecular mechanisms by which reactive oxygen species in plastids activates signaling cascades that ultimately results in a nuclear response for environmental adaptation. We seek candidates to apply for the Juan de la Cierva program, financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (3-years contract).
Requirements
Candidates should have a PhD, obtained (not before 1st Sept 2008), in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or other relevant discipline. Previous experience on basic Molecular Biology and Protein Biochemistry is required. Knowledge on Structural Biology, Plant Physiology, Biophysics and/or Bioinformatics is desirable.
More information and applications
Interested candidates should contact Dr. Monica Balsera (monica.balsera@irnasa.csic.es) enclosing their CV, a brief description of their research interests and the contact details of two references.
Applications deadline: 12th November 2012
