PostDoc - Clean Technologies and Environmental and Waste Management

Description
 
The Sustainable Production and Consumption Unit has a vacancy for a post-doctoral researcher to work in the fields of clean technologies, waste management and recycling, and environmental management systems. The research will focus on the analysis of technical, environmental and economic aspects of consumption and production. It will deal with sectors such as car manufacturing, manufacture of electronic and electric equipment, food and beverage manufacturing or agriculture. The research will contribute to implementing policies such as the EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS), and the Waste Framework Directive. The successful candidate’s main tasks will consist of conducting, formulating and coordinating techno-economic studies, the management and monitoring of research tasks, including the interaction with stakeholders from industry and NGOs, analysis and summary of results and preparation of reports for policy makers.
 
Requirements
 
The ideal candidate should have aPh.D. or a minimum of 5 years of research experience after the first degree giving access to doctoral studies A very good level of written and spoken English is essential and knowledge of at least one other EU language is compulsory.
