Design and development planning communication layer for COMPSS programming model

AREA:

The Computer Science department at Barcelona Supercomputing Center offers a research part-time grant for clusters and Grid computing group to perform the following responsibilities:

• Design and development of the communication layer COMPSS to improve their performance. See for more information compss.bsc.es COMPSS.
• At present, the communication layer depends on an external library which partially limits the performance COMPSS (GAT).
• Application Development test to evaluate the performance of the new version.
• These activities were carried out in the vicinity of the European project Ascetic.

Requirements

• Students at last year of Computer Engineering.

Be valued: 

• Previous experience in distributed systems.
• Knowledge of programming in C, Java and Python.
• High level of English.
