Description
NANOIMMUNOTECH, an awarded Nanobiotechnology startup, with a promising strategic plan, and proprietary technology, located in Vigo and Zaragoza (Spain), is looking for a Biological Applications Specialist for their facilities in Vigo. This is an exciting opportunity in our research laboratory.
You will be part of a team that is testing novel bioconjugation technologies for creating biomolecules/particles/drugs… conjugates.You will plan, design and perform research on our main bioconjugation project and the new projects that will come.
Requirements
You will probably have a Biology PhD (or related Chemistry or Biochemistry field; or an equivalent combination of education/experience), with 2-5 years experience in a Biology postdoctoral research-related occupation (industrial environment will be a plus).
You will have strong knowledge regarding the final applications of the conjugates: such as flow cytometry, Immunocytochemistry, ELISA, ELISpot, Western blotting/immunoblotting, Southern blotting, Northern blotting, dot blot/slot blot, fluorescent assays (FLISA, Immunofluorescence, Microarrays, Life imaging, FISH), cytotoxicity studies, magnetic hyperthermia, purification (magnetic separation and affinity purification), immunoprecipitation, etc.
Experience in chemistry, bioconjugation, surface immobilization, chemical modification of biomolecules, development of immunoreagents and/or nanoparticle-based assays, and particle characterization will be a plus. Hands-on attitude and an innovative approach to problem solving. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams are essential. Creative and energetic chemist who can work in a multidisciplinary environment using chemical approaches to design and develop chemistry and conjugation methods. Excellent written and oral communication skills will complete the profile. An eagerness to develop new technologies and the confidence to operate outside your comfort zone will be essential qualities.
