Description

 

The Breast Cancer and Systems Biology Group in the Catalan Institute of Oncology (IDIBELL, Barcelona) is interested in finding a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate to apply for a research contract funded by Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). Major advances in the understanding of the genetic basis of breast cancer have been made in recent years, but these advances have not led to significant improvements in clinical practice. Moreover, knowledge of the tumor/somatic alterations involved in the disease is disperse, impeding transfer to the clinic and the development of personalized treatments. In this scenario, our group aims at integrating basic and translational research to better define breast cancer subtypes and develop personalized medicine principles.

 

Requirements

- PhD degree;
- Postdoctoral experience (at least 4 years for B category)
- Strong publication record in cancer biology
