Description

 

The objective of the 4-year research project is to develop a new integrated microsensor platform for the detection of bacterial activity. The research task consists, amongst others, of the following items:

 

- Growth of nanowires of metallic oxides (WO3, SnO2, In2O3, ZnO) decorated with metallic nanoparticles (Au, Ag) using AA-CVD (Aerosol Assited Chemical Vapor Deposition),

- Biomolecules functionalising,

- Physical characterization,

- Microsensor platform developing.

 

Requirements

 

A Master or comparable degree in applied physics, engineering, etc.

Good knowledge of the English language.

Duration: 36 moths.

Beginning: Mars 2013

Salary: the gross monthly salary for the PhD position ranges from € 1.200,- gross per month in the first year increasing every year up to € 1.400,- gross per month in the two last years.

- The average mark is calculated dividing the total number of points by the total number of credits. The number of point is calculated using the Spanish equivalence (grade on a scale of 10): 5-7/10 = 1 point; 7-8.5/10 = 2 points; 8.5-9.9/10 = 3 points; 10/10 = 4 points.
