The Jeremiah Horrocks Institute invites applications for PhD studentships in Astrophysics, commencing in October 2014, in the following areas of research:

  • Solar Physics.
  • Observational Star formation.
  • Multi-waveband analysis of galaxies.
  • Modelling of nuclear star clusters in galaxies.
  • Galactic Archaeology.
  • Astrophysical jets.

The positions will remain open until filled. The interview process will
commence toward the end of February. Applicants should have or expect to gain a
good honours degree in physics or mathematics. Unfortunately, we
have no studentships available for applicants from outside the European
Union.
