The candidate for partner CSIC-A will work on a project focused on the characterization of high redox potential laccase mutants with higher catalytic activity at neutral pH and their application in biofuel cells. The project will include the study of structure/function relationships in the O2 reduction capability of laccase mutants at neutral pH, their covalent immobilization on nano-structured electrodes for direct electron transfer and their application as cathodes in Biofuel Cells.
