Description:
He/she will work on technical research projects in the field of mechanical and thermal design of nuclear fusion and/or particle accelerators components. The tasks to be carried out will be mainly focused on mechanical design of components, FEM calculations and simulations, modeling and mechanical analysis using CAD tools. This professional must be highly skilled in mechanical and fabrication design using FEM and CAD tools. He/she must have capacity to work in a team being flexible, innovative, with initiative, problem solving skills and with high level of analytical and synthesis skills.
Qualifications and experience required:
Essential:
Background in mechanical engineering, CAD and FEM tools experience, mechatronics engineering, vacuum technology, fabrication design and codes. Extended experience in design of fusion and/or particle accelerator components: design of magnets, beam line components, shielding components, vacuum systems.
Preferred:
Experience in the IFMIF/EVEDA project or Fusion related projects
Experience with mechanical design and fabrication of components for other scientific projects
Experience in R+D projects
Language required:
English fluent
Spanish fluent

Technical knowledge:
Master of Ansys and CATIA V5/Solidworks required.
