GRANT‐DEPENDENT, POST‐DOC POSITION IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE RAMON & CAJAL PROGRAM (R&C) OR THE YOUNG DOCTORS PROGRAM

The R&C program and Young Doctors program provide extramural funding for excellent candidates upon rigorous selection.
SERIDA (Servicio Regional de Investigación y Desarrollo Agrolimentario), an Asturias Regional Government Research Centre in Spain, will primarily select a PhD candidate (PhD defended after 2003, January, 1) to apply to R&C program in Reproductive Biotechnology (Knowledge area: Livestock).
Candidates will provide excellent background preferentially in embryo‐related technologies. Alternatively, candidates with other reproductive / developmental biotechnology background could be acceptable on the basis of excellence.

A unique PhD candidate will be pre‐selected and she/he should apply to an R&C program position, a competitive call that enables candidates to start a scientific career with an initial 5 years grant contract (evaluation after year 3). Whether no R&C candidates are selected, young researchers (i.e. PhD defended after 2009, September, 1) will submitt to the Young Doctors Program, a 2+2 years granted program (evaluation after year 2).
Upon acceptance of the selected candidate by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, SERIDA will co‐finance the salary of the candidate.
