Oceanography Expert

Requirements

As a minimum, the consultant shall have a university degree (or equivalent) in Oceanography, remote sensing sciences or equivalent, with the experience and skills specified hereafter. Experience and Skills (Mandatory):

•    Experience in the collection, formulation and documentation of user and technical requirements for space based applications in Oceanography and/or Marine Meteorology;
•    Knowledge of the operational applications in Oceanography and/or Marine Meteorology, their benefits, their current set-ups and state of the art and related future expectations.

Experience in one or more of the following will be considered as an advantage:

•    Knowledge of requirements management processes and standards;
•    Knowledge of requirements management tools, e.g. DOORS.

Personal skills and Working Language:

The consultant shall have excellent personal communication skills (oral and writing) to interact e.g. with the Marine data science/user/producer Community and with EUMETSAT teams responsible for the tasks.
The consultant shall be a team worker.
The working language for this position is English and therefore the consultant must be able to work effectively in this language.
