Description
The Research Centre EMaS (Engineering of Materials and micro/nanoSystems) of the Rovira i Virgili University in Tarragona (Spain) is searching for candidates to apply for a Marie Curie intra-european fellowship for career development (IEF) or a Marie Curie international incoming fellowship (IIF) in the call 2013 with deadline on 14 August 2013. The EMaS centre is formed by 7 research groups from the Rovira i Virgili University working in the field of materials science and engineering, such as optics, photonics, electronics, and simulation, as well. Topics:
1 Low-dimensional metal oxides grown by the vapour-solid method for a new generation of affordable gas nanosensors.
2 Exploring novel concepts of Silicon solar cells boosting efficiency.
3 Integrated photonics in dielectric materials for sensing and telecommunication applications.
4 Graphene -based femtosecond waveguide lasers.
5 Optical sensing systems for next-generation energy-efficient and icing hazard-free aircrafts.
6 Development of new catalytic reactions for glycerol revalorization.
7 Nanostructured biosensor technologies development.
8 Nanostructured Organic Solar Cell Technology development.
9 Valorization reaction of CO2 for the synthesis of fine chemicals.
10 Synthesis of new catalysts for selective chemical transformation of glycerol to fine chemicals.
11 New catalytic materials for Advanced Oxidation Processes.
12 New bionanohybrid multifunctional catalysts for the Synthesis of chiral compounds of industrial and pharmaceutical interest.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, ...
- Having not resided or carried out the main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for longer than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior their application.
