Description
A major global operator has approached us in order to identify an Environmental Advisor to support their portfolio of North Sea Assets. The position will report directly to the Head of Environment and there will be the opportunity for regular offshore visits. The main responsibility of this role will be to provide specialist advice in environmental matters to ensure sound environmental management can be demonstrated by the Company. Other responsibilities of the role will include;
•Assist in implementation of work programme for Company-wide ISO14001 Certification
•Chair Environmental Fo cus Teams or site SHE Committees involving personnel from various disciplines
•Lead or Participate in Audits to ensure compliance with Environmental Aspects of Company Management System
•Deliver training packages on various environmental issues and advise the training department on appropriate training requirements for Company employees.
•Manage preparation of Environmental Statements for New Developments (including budget estimates)
•Prepare and submit permits for all operations, on and offshore, including those listed above. Also includes budget management where appropriate.
•Collect and manipulate data required for all reporting requirements (including reports to regulators, reports to Group, Reports to Sites)
•Provide environmental input with regard to Regulatory permitting regimes
•Provide expert environmental advice to Business and Support Units
•Follow up on environmental incidents
•Preparation of relevant environmental statements for publication
•Maintain environmental procedures and all other relevant CMS documents.
•Support senior and lead environmental advisors
•Provide environmental support to project teams
Requirements
The successful candidate will have sufficient relevant environmental experience along with a thorough knowledge and understanding of current environmental legislation. They must also be an approved Environmental Management System Lead Auditor and also possess Offshore Survival & MIST Certificates.
