Description

 

We are currently seeking a Contaminated Land Specialist; this is a full time involved in the management of Stage 1 and Stage 2 Site Investigation and Stage 3 Remediation / Validation projects throughout the UK, based at our Head Office in West Sussex. This will include the procurement of work, managing site operations, the production of succinct and accurate excavation logs, appropriate sampling, scheduling of testing and production of Stage 1 - Stage 3 Factual and Interpretive Reports.

 

Requirements

 

- The successful applicant should be qualified to undergraduate level in Contaminated Land / Environmental Science and have a minimum of 1 year postgraduate experience in Contaminated Land assessment. A Post Graduate degree level qualification in a related discipline is desirable, but not essential.

- The applicant should be able to show experience of managing site works, appropriate sampling techniques and logging soils / rocks to current British Standard. Applicants should also show experience of the production of factual and interpretive reports, including CSMs.

- A strong work and team ethic are essential; the applicant should be adaptable and capable of managing their own workload to produce a consistent and quality service to our clients' requirements. Strong written and spoken communication skills are also considered of paramount importance.

The job role will involve travel to investigation sites and applicant's should hold a clean UK driving license. Transport to site will be provided. Applicants should be prepared to attend training courses and work in the a variety of environments, including Road / Rail projects. Unsociable hours working such as night shift and weekend working should be expected.

 

Starting Salary is £20k - £25k (negotiable) dependant on experience.
