Department of Environment, Earth & Ecosystems, Faculty of Science
Milton Keynes, UK

Description

We are seeking a Project Officer to join the NERC-funded project 'RESPIRE' (Response of global ocean oxygenation to early Cenozoic climate extremes). You will work within a multidisciplinary collaborative research team and an international network of project partners. The data generated by this research will greatly improve our mechanistic understanding of the climatic controls on seawater oxygenation, both past and present, and will provide a solid basis for the inclusion of global environmental change in model predictions of seawater oxygenation.

Requirements

You will hold a degree, or equivalent, in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Sciences) with a strong background and interest in the practical application of analytical (ideally geochemical and isotopic) techniques. You must have well-developed self-management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
