Description
CELLS is a consortium whose aim is the management of the economical, technical and administrative collaboration of the entities being part of the consortium, Ministerio de Ciéncia i Tecnología and Generalitat de Catalunya. The object of the collaboration is the construction, equipping and exploitation of the Synchrotron Radiation Light Source Laboratory sited in the area of Vallés Occidental. The ALBA main storage ring has an energy of 3 Gev and delivers synchrotron light. The diameter of the main storage ring is about 85 m and 7 beam lines are in operation. The initial function is to take responsibility as project engineer for the design and production of drawings and technical specifications of mechanical and electromechanical components of the ALBA complex of accelerators and beam lines. This includes:
- Participate in technical design studies.
- Production of lay-out drawings.
- Production of technical specifications.
- Production of associated drawings to the technical specifications.
- Follow-up of the tendering process.
- Participate in the design and construction of equipment
- Participate in the prototype production follow-up.
- Supervise the installation of equipment in test facilities.
Requirements
- University degree in mechanical or electromechanical engineering, or equivalent.
- More than 2 years experience in design and construction of equipment in some of the following fields, special machinery, robotics, electromechanical components, mechanisms, structures, boilers.
- Experience in the design and implementation of basic beam line, front end components, and accelerator components will be appreciated.
- Experience in 3D CAD and CAE mechanical applications, and project documentation management.
- Adaptability to an international and multidisciplinary environment.
- Sense of responsibility and demonstrated ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
- Good knowledge of either English and Spanish or Catalan; basic knowledge of the other languages or an undertaking to acquire it rapidly.
