Description:

Applications are invited for a Postdoc Position in Biotechnological Processes for Energy Production Unit at IMDEA Energy (Spain). This Unit is looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join a research project dealing with the improvement of bioethanol production. The strategy will be focused on engineering non-cellulolytic organisms that exhibit high product yields and titers to express a heterologous cellulase system enabling cellulose utilization.

• The successful candidate will join the Biotechnological Processes for Energy Production Unit to reinforce the research line “Biofuel production using biotechnological approaches”.
• Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowships (IEF) offers a 2-year contract. The call deadline is 16th August 2012.
• Furthermore, the selected candidate will participate in some other activities of the Unit including yeast and microalgae genetic modification.
• We offer very interesting salary conditions according to Marie Curie rules.
• Candidates should have a PhD degree or 4 years of research experience (full-time) and not have lived/worked in Spain for more than 12 months in the last 3 years.
• Candidates with a strong background in biochemistry and biofuels are searched.
