Plasma sciences and process engineer

Description:

The successful candidate will actively contribute to the development of applied research activities in the field of plasma surface treatments. She/he will be expected to participate to the development of nationally and internationally recognized innovative and interdisciplinary research projects. Her/his research activity will involve both fundamental and applied research depending on the work schedule. The main objective of her/his work will be to actively contribute to the understanding and to the development of new plasma solutions for industrial application. This will involve working with engineers and scientists.

Requirements:

- PhD in physical-chemistry or in material sciences with specific training into the physic and technology of discharges, diagnostics of the plasma and the plasma process engineering;
- First experience after the PhD degree in a R&D environment (public or private), with proven organizational skills and experience to work in national and/or European R&D funding projects would be appreciated;
- Demonstrated achievements in the scientific field of plasma (please provide a list of scientific publications);
- Qualifications to perform plasma diagnostics (OES, FTIR, …) and surface characterizations;
- Excellent communication, organizational, flexibility and interpersonal skills with mandatory team-spirit;
- Fluency in English (scientific exchanges) is a must, knowledge of Spanish (administrative language) would be an asset.
