Description
Computer Applications in Sciences and Engineering department is offering four support engineers positions to develop parallel geophysical applications in modeling, imaging and inverse problems, within the BSC-Repsol Research Center project.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Physics, Mathematics or Engineering.
- Experience in the development of industrial parallel applications managing several levels of parallel computation and massive I/O transfers
- GPU programming
- Parallel threads using both Posix threads and openMP
- Parallel process using both MPI and sockets communications
- Parallel I/O with MPI I/O and HDF5
- Vector extensions (MME, AVX, VMX) programing
- Documentation procedures with Doxygen
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize and work under set deadlines pressure
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Fluency in English essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
