Multiple phd & postdoctoral positions are available in LBEN lab. These positions will span a range of instruments and applications:
- Super-resolution microscopy
We seek a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to reinforce our research efforts in super-resolution microscopy. The candidate should have an experience in single molecule microscopy and interest in membrane biophysics. He or she will work in a highly interdisciplinary research environment, including optical engineers, computer scientists and biologists.
- Optical-trapping studies of DNA and RNAP
We are looking for the candidate with a strong background in experimental biophysics, biochemistry, or optics. Well-suited candidate should be comfortable with one or more of the following: optical trapping, instrument development, optics, & LabVIEW programming. Prior single-molecule experience is preferred.
- PhD positions
We're always looking for talented PhD students. with following background: optics, electronics, optical and magnetic trapping, cell and molecular biology, polymer physics, nanotechnology, and clean room experience.
