Centre for Genomic Regulation
Barcelona, Spain
Description
The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG, http://www.crg.eu), a leading Institute in Genomics Research, is recruiting a junior group leader in the Cell and Developmental Biology program. The CRG includes 5 research programs (Gene Regulation, Stem Cells & Cancer; Cell & Developmental Biology; Systems Biology; Genes & Disease; and Bioinformatics & Genomics) and has a partnership with the EMBL through the Systems Biology Program. Scientists at the CRG have access to state-of-the-art core facilities including genomics and next generation sequencing instruments, bioinformatics, proteomics, advanced optical microscopy, FACS, robotics, and a modern animal house. The Cell and Developmental Biology program is coordinated by Vivek Malhotra, and includes a senior scientist (Isabelle Vernos) and three junior group leaders (Manuel Mendoza, Jerome Solon and Pedro Carvalho). Our aim is to recruit at least one new junior group leader that complements the ongoing research efforts with an interest in human pathologies due to defects in cell compartmentation, cytoskeletal dynamics and tissue morphogenesis.
