PostDoc - James Webb Space Telescope - 2 vacancies

Description
 
Within the framework of the project "Spanish Participation in the James Webb Space Telescope", two postdoctoral contracts are offered at the Astrophysics Department of the Center for Astrobiology, with the following characteristics:
 
-  Participate in the research activities of the group in the area of star-forming galaxies, mainly using IFS instrumentation.
-  Development of own research projects of interest in the context of JWST.
-  Scientific support activities associated to the post ground-calibration phase of the instruments NIRSpec and MIRI.
 
Requirements
 
-  Ph.D on Astrophysics or closely related field.
-  Research experience in any of the JWST scientific priority areas, preferably in the formation and evolution of galaxies.
-  Observational and/or instrumental experience, ideally in optical and near-infrared integral field spectroscopy.
-  Knowledge of techniques and software tools for the analysis of infrared and/or IFS astronomical data.
 
More information and applications
 
-  Work will be developed at the main campus of the Center for Astrobiology located within the grounds of the Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial (Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid).
-  Salary in the range 26,730 - 39,200 euros/year (before tax deduction), depending on experience.
-  The contract is for 2 years, with possible extension.
-  All candidates should hold the certification of the corresponding academic degree according to Spanish regulations.
