Description

The MiNoS Research Group of the EMaS Research Center at the Rovira i Virgili University announces 1 predoctoral fellowship in the field of materials engineering and micro/ nanosystems. The objective of the 4-year research project is to develop a new integrated microsensor platform for the detection of bacterial activity. The research task consists, amongst others, of the following items:

- Growth of nanowires of metallic oxides (WO3, SnO2, In2O3, ZnO) decorated with metallic nanoparticles (Au, Ag) using AA-CVD (Aerosol Assited Chemical Vapor Deposition),
- Biomolecules functionalising,
- Physical characterization,
- Microsensor platform developing.

Requirements

- Degree in Engineering 

- High level of english

The gross monthly salary for the PhD position ranges from € 1.200,- gross per month in the first year increasing every year up to € 1.400,- gross per month in the two last years.
