Applications are sought from those wishing to undertake a PhD in the Jeremiah Horrocks Institute for Astrophysics, The University of Central Lancashire, starting in October 2013. We have a number of fully funded PhD studentships available for UK residents, some of which are also available to non-UK EU residents. The deadline for applications is Friday March 1st 2013. These studentships and projects are in the following areas:

 

- Galaxy Formation and Cosmology

- Galactic Chemical Evolution

- Panchromatic Modelling of Galaxies

- Astrophysical Jets

- Asteroseismology

- Pre-Main Sequence Stars

- Star Formation

- Solar Physics.
