Description
The lab of Susana González is searching for an enthusiastic, highly qualified candidate to join her group as PhD student. The research field of the group is focused in elucidating the role and molecular regulation of the INK4b-ARF-INK4a locus in the context of self-renewal, proliferation and aging of hematopoietic stem cells in vitro and in vivo, with planned extension of these studies to cardiac stem cells. Another research line involves the study of epigenetic mechanisms that control stem cell homeostasis and differentiation.
Requirements
- University degree in any related biomedical science.
- Academic record of 2.5 or higher (scale 1-4)
- Enthusiastic interest in conducting research in molecular biology, mouse models, biochemistry, and/or cell biology
- Research experience in related fields and knowledge in animal handing will be a plus.
- Solid communication skills in English
