Description
The Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Marseille has major research and training facilities in observational, instrumental and theoretical astronomy, and is a strong participant in space and ground based instrumentation and astronomical surveys. Positions are available in all the research areas in which the Laboratory is active. These include cosmology and large scale structure, galaxy formation and evolution, star formation and interstellar medium, stars and extrasolar planets, solar system and astronomical optics and instrumentation. Requirements
Applicants must have a solid physics background, and a Masters degree or equivalent by the time the position is begun. Previous research experience and skills will be important criteria for the selection. The PhD positions are not restricted by nationality. Working languages in the Laboratory are French and English; support for French language courses is available.

They should also arrange for two reference letters to be sent to the same electronic address before the application deadline.
