Description
Applications are invited for the following position as Postdoctoral Researcher to work on an EU funded project. The research, which will be carried out at CIC biomaGUNE, in San Sebastián (Spain), revolves around the design of plasmonic nanomaterials for applications as substrates in SERS biosensing. The project, supported by the European Commission with the 7th Franework Programme, is aimed at the application of surface enhanced Raman scattering for in situ identification and sorting of stem cells. Within this project, the proposed post-doc research will focus on the spectroscopic analysis within cell cultures. The successful candidate will undertake research in the area of SERS spectroscopy and biosensing.
Requirements
A PhD in a relevant area of Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Materials Science is required and experience in the fields of plasmonics and Raman spectroscopy on biological samples is highly desirable. The position is for up to two years, starting in early 2013.
