Description:
A 3-year postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Alessandra Giorgetti, Ph.D, at the Inbiomed Foundation, in San Sebastian, Spain. The research aims to decipher mechanisms to differentiate human pluripotent stem cells ( hES and iPSCs) into specific cells types for future cell replacement therapies. The current position is particularly devoted to elucidating molecular mechanism underlying pluripotent stem cell differentiation into red blood cell lineages.
The successful applicant will join a young and enthusiastic team and will benefit from a highly dynamic and stimulating working environment supported by excellent core facilities and technical support. The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Qualification:
Highly motivated individuals able to work independently with a strong interest in translational stem cell research are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have a PhD or MD/PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology or a related field. A minimum of one publication as first author from applicant’s PhD studies is required. Prior experience in culture of human pluripotent stem cells and primary hematopoietic cells is preferred.
