PostDoc - Photocatalysts and reactor for solar fuels production

The IMDEA Energy Institute is a Research Centre created by the Regional Government of “Comunidad de Madrid” to develop world-class R&D on clean and renewable energy. The ultimate goal of the IMDEA Energy Institute is to achieve outstanding scientific and technological contributions for reaching a sustainable energy system. The IMDEA Energy Institute is expected to have a significant impact on the R&D activities on energy themes by bringing together high quality researchers, providing them with excellent infrastructures and resources, and promoting their close collaboration with the industrial sector. Experienced Researchers (ERs) are invited to apply for a Postdoc Position in the Thermochemical Process Unit under the frame of an industrial project. This Unit is looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join a research project dealing with the improvement of photocatalysts and reactor for solar fuels production.

• The contract will have duration of 12 months and the possibility of a second year after positive evaluation.
• We offer salary conditions according with the company requirements
• Candidates should have a PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related subjects
• Candidates with a strong background in Photocatalysis and materials chemistry are essential for the project
• Experience in photoreactor design and construction and chromatographic analysis are also required
• Good communication skills, and fluency in English are also desirable
